Caribbean music will collide with cricket in South Florida on Memorial Day weekend as the MAQ T20 International Cricket Tournament ’08 takes over South Florida.
The line-up of both cricketers and Caribbean musicians for the May 23-25 extravaganza is sizzling as Ky-mani Marley, Allison Hinds, Marcia Griffiths and Adesh Samaroo among others, take to the stage to thrill fans after the games with `Cricket Nites to Remember.`
Ky-mani, son of legendary Reggae Icon Bob Marley, will pay a special tribute to his dad by singing the song `Dear Dad.`
Hinds, crowned the undisputed `Queen of SOCA` by fans worldwide, is sure to rock the crowd with `Roll It Gal` while Griffiths will be on hand to reel out hit after hit, with a special segment uniting all nations in dance with her mega hit `The Electric Slide, Boogie Woogie Woogie.`
On the pitch, the inaugural 20/20 tournament '08 will feature All Star Teams from West Indies, Pakistan, Canada and World XI All-Star at the brand new 71 million dollar Cricket Stadium located at Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill, Florida.
