Publicist Marc Johnson Found Dead

Dancehall Madness understands that Publicist Marc Johnson was found dead in his apartment at Sullivan Place Kingston, Jamaica on Sunday June 8, 2008.
According to reports Johnson's body was found by neighbours strangled by an electrical cord.
He worked as publicist for deejay Beenie Man,the late dancer Gerald "Bogle" Levy,D'Angel and Dancehall Queen Carlene.The matter is now under investigation.

Eddy Hires Dube's One People

According to Fiji-times caribbean singer Eddy Grant has linked up with One People, the late Lucky Dube's band, for his coming European tour.

The Eddy Grant Reparation Tour marks the star's return to live performances after a long absence.

Set to run from June until the end of October, the tour will cover all of Europe.

Lena Mochoele, Dube's manager for Africa and now One People's, said they would play at one of the most important festivals Lucky performed at.

"In a way this is going to be a nostalgic encounter for One People who for the next couple of months will play Eddy's repertoire," a subdued Mochoele says. "They will go back to the festivals they last played at with Rasta something that is bound to take them back."

One People will back Grant at the Glastonbury Jazz World Stage, Nelson Mandela Show at Hyde Park in the UK, Hyde Park Wireless Festival in Scotland, Dublin Oxegen Festival and Womad Festival in the UK.
