Bounty Killa A warrant has been issued for the arrest of popular Dancehall artiste Bounty Killa.
The warrant was issued after the DJ failed to appear in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate’s Court in St. James Thursday.
The artiste, whose name is Rodney Pryce, was to answer to charges of using indecent language and disorderly conduct.
Bounty Killa was arrested and charged following the Dancehall Night staging of the music festival Reggae Sumfest earlier this month.
During his performance he was booed by patrons after attacking the characters of two fellow artistes.
In the midst of the audience’s disapproval, Bounty Killa belted out a barrage of expletives and left the stage just after four o'clock.
He was immediately charged by members of the police force who were waiting at the foot of the stage.
Thursday's warrant was however stayed until August 21 when the entertainer is booked to reappear in court.
In court Mr. Pryce's attorney George Thomas told the judge that his client had previous engagements in the Virgin Islands.
He emphasized that the non-appearance of his client was not intended to show disrespect to the court.
