Sting is dubbed "The Greatest One Night Of Reggae" and this year it celebrates its 26th anniversary. The show is poised to be one the most memorable staging ever this year. Last year, we saw Mavado challenging his arch nemesis Vybz Kartel to a lyrical battle. The contest of the two gave a vast majority of fans what they wanted. The highly anticipated musical clash of the two however, ended prematurely because Mavado exited the stage. After the event, both artistes later self declared themselves victorious.
Several weeks ago, reports surfaced that Mr. Gee had gun butted controversial deejay L.A Lewis in a dispute. The reports of this incident were never confirmed by our staff. Last Friday December 5, 2009, on Jamaica's Entertainment Report television show deejay L.A Lewis expressed his burning desire for a musical war between Mr. Gee and himself at Sting. Mr Gee has yet to accept Lewis' offer. We will keep our readers posted as this unfolds.
Over the latter months, Vybz Kartel has been trading musical blows with his former mentor now rival Bounty Killa. The fans of the two are eager for them to settle it in clash at sting. Will there be a clash between Killa and Kartel? Only time will tell, if there will be a clash. As Sting moves closer, who knows what will come out of the woodwork.
