Now in its 17th year, Reggae Sumfest enjoyed record breaking numbers at the Festival last year. The stellar line-up included dancehall stalwarts Beenie Man, Bounty Killer, Elephant Man, Mavado and Busy Signal, international stars Ne-Yo, Keri Hilson, Jazmine Sullivan and Toni Braxton, reggae favourites Queen Ifrica, Etana, Tarrus Riley, Jah Cure and Morgan Heritage and a rare performance by Inner Circle. The Festival's usually high production standard was complimented by several high end performances designed to dazzle the eyes as much as please the ears.
The festival’s past success has attracted new and return sponsors in additional to global media interest. Buzz has already started as patrons speculate who will be featured on the line up for the 2010 staging of the week-long event. Reggae Sumfest kicks off in Montego Bay, Jamaica on Sunday with a beach party on July 18, then moves to the main concert grounds on Thursday, July 22 with three nights of music.
