Second album realised in Kingston, London, UK and Berlin! Renown Jamaican artist Cecile is heading into the late summer a fast and furious album. 17 progressive reggae tunes featuring the Jamaican star Agent Sasco (aka Assassin), Christopher Martin (protégé of Gentleman) and Million Stylez, the top act from Sweden!
Cecile Claudine Charlton aka Cecile aka Ce'Cile launched her career by breaking a taboo. Her song 'Changez' turns the macho- oriented dancehall world that is parodying on its head. Following over 100(!) 7" singles on various top-a-top Jamaican labels, Cecile released her debut album 'Bad Gyal' finally in 2008 via the Kingstone
label with great steps (and detours via Delicious Vinyl) - it was the first dancehall album to be mentioned in Playboy in the magazine's history! Consequently new, previously undreamed-of opportunities presented themselves to Cecile both nationally and internationally. Thus she always featured as a guest singer on singles by Sean Paul, Carl Henry, Tanya Stephens, Lady Saw, Barrington Levy, Shaggy among others. Her collaboration with Sean Paul on the multiplatinum album 'Dutty Rock' helped her to become internationally famous extending well beyond the reggae / dancehall niche. Cecile followed this up with her club hit 'Hot Like We'. Millions of views on youtube, the consideration of the song in the compilation series Bravo Black Hits (huge 'Best Of' compilation hit series in Germany), and features with DJ Fresh for the track 'Gold Dust' among others helped her to achieve fame and success in the UK too. The tune was in the UK top 20 charts and ranked among the 50 top selling downloads in the world since December 2010. Cecile achieved the balancing act of combining high quality elements of Agent Sasco aka Assassin ('Hey'), the Gentleman protégé Christopher Martin ('Sweetness') and the Swedish dancehall star Million Stylez ('Wicked & Wild') with her second album 'Jamaicanization', that was produced in Kingston / Jamaica, London und Berlin. A album containing a lot of highlights and great singles! Let's get Jamaicanized!
