“Weed Seed”, born Patrick Billings in St. Andrew Jamaica W.I and was raised in Portmore, St. Catherine. He went to Ardenne Prep School from 1988 to 1995. He continued his education at Jamaica College High School from 1995 to 2000.
After completing Jamaica College High School, Weed Seed studied music engineering for two years at the Music Business Institute (MBIT) from 2000 to 2002.
He then did four years at the Edna Manley College school of Music from 2002 to 2006 where he
achieved four grades in Musical Theory and Practice.
To date, Weed Seed is an accomplished studio engineer, producer, promoter, and radio disc jockey.
He has been making and writing music for 14 years thus far, and has worked closely with major artiste such as Bounty Killer, Vybz Kartel, Movado, Junior Reid, I-Wayne, Anthony-B , Junior Kelly, Prestige, and Magazeen from world renowned Maybach Music Group.
In addition to a thriving engineering career, Weed Seed is a radio personality / disc jockey, and co-owner of Sun City FM radio 104.9 fm. Sun City is a Portmore, St. Catherine, Jamaica based station. The station can be heard all around the world via the website www.suncityradio.fm, ustream, and for Android and Apple users through an app called "TuneInRadio". Weed Seeds segments are live juggling, where he is also able to communicate with listeners via telephone, and web. He also does a request feature, where listeners are able to call in live or text to request their favorite songs.
Weed Seed has also been promoting events and productions for almost 2 years. Most of his promotions are major stage shows and events in collaboration with Sun City FM, and Weed Seed Entertainment. The most recent event was a birthday party/ stage show “28 STRONG”. Over 2000 friends, fans, and family came out to 9 Miles, Bob Marley Beach, Bull Bay Jamaica to support Weed Seed. Entertainers, host and supporters from all around the world made appearances and performances for this sensational event. Performers and supporters included Bounty Killer, I-Octane, I-Wayne, Kiprich, Skyjuice, Ding Dong and many more.
“Summer is Here” will be the next major event by Weed Seed Entertainment, scheduled for July 6 2013. Weed Seed strives to be the ultimate musical triple threat. Producing, writing, promoting, and performing are some of his talents. We have yet to see the full fledged ability behind this man, but the best is yet to come.
